Untimely settlements threaten Ukraine's energy sector

According to inkorr.com: Yevhen Korff, director of the LLC NPP 'Energo-Plus', warns about the danger that untimely settlements pose for Ukraine's energy sector. He notes that such a situation could lead to the loss of investments and halt new projects in this field.

Korff also emphasizes that the lack of settlements hinders Ukraine's ability to adapt to new challenges. This could lead to energy shortages during peak loads, as well as cause social tension and complicate the process of repairing damaged facilities.

At the macro level, the debt crisis complicates the modernization of energy in the direction of decentralization and the development of renewable energy. Ukraine faces the loss of the ability to integrate renewable energy into the future energy balance and meet European standards.

Korff calls for the repayment of debts to producers, as this could signal investors and contribute to attracting new funds to the energy sector. Many Ukrainian companies are ready to reinvest their profits in the expansion and modernization of production.

According to the director of the Energy Research Center, Oleksandr Kharchenko, the total debts in the electricity market exceed 100 billion hryvnias. He emphasizes that the debts of the population, which amount to about 10 billion hryvnias, are only a symptom of a broader problem in the market.

Ukrainian investors are calling for more timely settlements in the energy sector to avoid serious negative consequences for the industry and the country as a whole.

Under current conditions, Ukraine's energy sector faces serious challenges that require urgent solutions. Without adequate funding and support from investors, the modernization and development of energy projects could be jeopardized, affecting not only the economy but also the well-being of citizens.

Problems with settlements not only squeeze businesses but also exacerbate social tension in society. The time has come to find effective solutions to ensure the stability of the energy sector and the well-being of Ukrainians.
