Tragedy in Israel: a family from Odesa has died
A terrible event occurred in Israel during the Iranian missile attack on the city of Bat Yam. As a result, a family from Odesa, who had been in the country since December 2022, died. The family came for the treatment of 7-year-old Nastia Buryk, who was suffering from blood cancer. Along with the girl were her grandmother and two younger brothers - 9-year-old Kostyantyn and 13-year-old Illia. Nastia's mother, Maria Peshkurova, remains missing.
Confirmation of this tragic event came from the charitable foundation 'Country of Good Deeds', which previously assisted in the girl's treatment in Israel.
The diagnosis of blood cancer was made for Nastia in August 2022. After a relapse in September 2024, she continued treatment in Israel. The girl's father, Artem Buryk, is currently in Ukraine, serving in the Armed Forces.
The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel is striving to organize the return of the bodies of deceased citizens to Ukraine, but due to circumstances, this is currently complicated.The incident that occurred in Israel led to the tragic death of a Ukrainian family from Odesa, who were in the country for the treatment of a sick child. Relatives and friends of the deceased are in mourning, and the Ukrainian embassy is making efforts to return the bodies of the deceased to Ukraine.
