On November 16, 2024, during a mortar shelling in the Kharkiv region, defender of Ukraine, soldier Bohdan Rybiichuk fell. This was reported by the Berezne city council.
Bohdan was born on June 10, 1979. In 1996, having received a complete general secondary education at the Prysluch Secondary School of I-III degrees, he continued his studies at the Berezne Forestry College, which he graduated from on February 19, 1999, specializing in 'Forestry'. After finishing his studies, he worked seasonal jobs and in the local limited liability company 'MV-Forest'.
As reported by the city council, the man was kind, calm, sensitive, loved to read a lot, and played the guitar. In his free Time, he tried to write poetry. He never refused to help others.
Conscription into military service and death
On March 21, 2024, soldier Bohdan Rybiichuk was called up for military service by mobilization and became a grenade launcher assistant in a mechanized battalion. Courageously fulfilling his military duty in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom, and independence, the hero died on November 16, 2024, during a mortar shelling in Kharkiv region.
Farewell and burial
On November 23, Bohdan Valentiovych returned home forever, on a shield. A public farewell to the Hero took place in Independence Square in Berezne. Under the mournful sounds of the brass band accompanied by an honor guard and a column of standard bearers, they escorted the hero along a flower-strewn path to the Holy Nativity of the Mother of God Church in the village of Prysluch, where a memorial service was held.
Bohdan Rybiichuk was buried in the village cemetery in Prysluch. Under the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a salute, the body of the Ukrainian warrior was returned to the embrace of the Polissia land. The relatives were handed the State flag of Ukraine.
The defender was survived by his mother, father, sister, and brother.
