According to ТСН: Military expert Oleg Zhadanov believes that Russia is intentionally carrying out bloody rocket strikes on Ukraine against the backdrop of rumors about a possible end to the war. The goal of these actions is to create difficult living conditions in the country.

Terror against civilians

In his interview, he noted:

“It terrorizes the civilian population. Seven hits in residential buildings in Kyiv, and all were direct hits. This is not debris from a downed 'Shahed' or missile. And, most likely, the calculation was precisely such that according to the probability theory, it would equally hit — lowering the 'Shahed' to the lowest possible altitude, and in any case, it would hit some high-rise building. This is approximately the variant I see, judging by today’s hits.”

Political motives for the attacks

Zhadanov emphasized that Russia is carrying out massive strikes in the context of certain political events. He stated:

“By the way, yesterday a statement was made by the Kremlin officially, that the European plan is unsuitable, unconstitutional regarding the Russian constitution, and they will not even consider it. Therefore, Putin actually showed his 'displeasure' regarding those negotiations that took place in Geneva over the weekend with this strike after such a statement .”

He also added that the evening before the attack on November 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned about the possibility of a Russian strike in the near future and urged not to ignore air raid signals.

Despite the ongoing hostilities, the international community remains interested in peace talks. However, according to the expert, the war will not end until Russia changes its course of aggression.
