Assassination attempt on Trump at the golf club: court postponed the hearing date.

The district court in Florida postponed the hearing of the case against Ryan Raut, who is accused of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at the golf club, to September of next year. The session, which was scheduled for February 10, 2025, will now take place on September 8.

Raut's attorneys requested the court to postpone the session until next December; however, the court decided to move the hearing to September of next year. The attorneys defend the need to familiarize themselves in more detail with the evidence and to clarify the possibility of defending their client on the grounds of his innocence.

Raut had previously been convicted of federal crimes in North Carolina and, according to prosecutors, has connections to combat operations in Ukraine, which has been denied by the Ukrainian side.

Prosecutors claim that Raut planned the assassination attempt on Trump and intended to kill him by September 15, when Trump was expected to play golf at his club. Raut denies all charges.

If Raut is found guilty of attempting to murder the President of the United States, he faces life imprisonment. In addition, he is also charged with assaulting a federal officer and violating gun storage laws. The court keeps Raut in the Miami jail without the right to bail.
