The founder of the pirate online library Flibusta, known under the pseudonym Stiver, died through euthanasia. This was reported on the resource's forum. In his final message, Stiver noted that he decided to take advantage of the so-called assisted suicide (suicide with the help of another person, or euthanasia) using a lethal dose of thiopental.
Hello, it seems that the date of my death has been determined. I want to use, possibly, assisted suicide, which is now allowed in Germany. If everything goes according to plan, then tomorrow, on Sunday 20.10., I will receive a lethal dose of thiopental. If I don't write back on Monday, it means it worked :) Please then publish this information on Tuesday – for history and to stop any "help Stiver" collections, – wrote Stiver.Let us recall that at the end of September this year, the administrator of "Flibusta" announced the closure of the pirate online library. The reason was a malignant and aggressive form of brain tumor found in the project’s creator.
I’m in the hospital with a glioblastoma of indecent size. Unfortunately, "Flibusta" has possibly ended at this point, as well as myself, – wrote Stiver.
