Zelensky announced the development of a detailed agreement with the USA regarding mineral resources.
Ukraine and the United States of America have reached an agreement regarding a framework agreement on mineral resources. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky informed journalists about this. The parties are now developing a detailed document with specific figures and percentages. Zelensky also stated that Russia's claims about readiness for deep mineral extraction do not reflect the real intentions of that country.
Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, confirmed that the agreement on subsoil with the USA is agreed upon and remains unchanged. Next, there will be the signing of an agreement on the Investment Fund with specific economic parameters and obligations.
Earlier, Ukraine refused the agreement in which the USA demanded payment of $500 billion from Ukraine. Ukraine claims that the presence of American business does not guarantee security.
It is worth reminding that in February, the presidents of Ukraine and the USA were unable to sign the agreement on subsoil, but Ukraine hopes for the conclusion of an agreement with the USA regarding the creation of a joint investment fund.
