According to UATV: During their recent meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron focused on critical issues surrounding military-industrial cooperation and financial aid for Ukraine. The two leaders explored the potential for a €90 billion loan to support Ukraine. Dmytro Levus confirmed that
“yes, indeed, the meeting discussed the allocation of a €90 billion loan for Ukraine”.
Military-Industrial Collaboration
The discussion also highlighted joint efforts in the defense sector. Key topics covered during the talks included:
- co-production of weapons;
- participation in the SAFE program;
- strengthening air defense systems and combat aviation;
- transferring expertise from Ukraine’s Brave1 government platform.
Emmanuel Macron noted that
“the full-scale war in the Middle East has changed the conditions”, which could affect future collaboration between the two nations. These negotiations mark a significant step forward in Ukraine-France relations, particularly amid ongoing security challenges.
