Zelensky Awards the Soldiers of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, personally recognized the soldiers of the Naval Forces on the occasion of their professional holiday. The head of state presented state awards for courage and bravery, emphasizing the importance of their role in defending the country from external threats.

«Our soldiers, together with intelligence and security services, do everything possible to ensure the Ukrainian ports and sea routes operate,» Zelensky emphasized.

During the solemn ceremony, the president expressed gratitude to the military for protecting Odesa and the southern coast from Russian landings, awarding the best among them with state orders and medals. Military personnel who distinguished themselves in battles against enemy drones and during the elimination of enemy positions were also honored.

The Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of July, honoring the heroic service of the naval fleet and its vital role in ensuring Ukraine's security at sea.
