Zelensky thanked the Air Force: how Ukrainian pilots changed the course of the war.
The Ukrainian Air Force received thanks from the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, for their high skills and contribution to the protection of the state's skies. The warriors quickly mastered the most modern air defense systems and actively use them in the air, solving various tasks.
The President emphasized that thanks to the courage and high preparedness of the Ukrainian defenders, Russia has not been able to gain control of the air. 'This is a great achievement of Ukrainians: we did not allow the Russians to capture our sky,' the president stressed.
Ukrainian pilots have performed over 28,000 combat sorties to strike enemy targets, provide support to other military units, or gather intelligence. Zelensky expressed gratitude to each pilot for maintaining combat readiness from the first moments of the conflict and performing tasks under difficult conditions.
'Our Air Force is a vivid example that Ukrainians protect their country,' he emphasized, expressing gratitude for assistance and dedication to this important mission.
Earlier, the president congratulated aviators on their professional holiday and informed citizens about strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
