Zelensky presented a peace plan to the USA: the most difficult issues for negotiations with Russia.

According to ТСН: Ukraine has sent the United States its vision for peaceful settlement of the conflict and is now awaiting a response from Russia. The most difficult issues in the negotiations remain territorial integrity, control over the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and funding for the country's reconstruction.

Statement by the President of Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, noted during communication with journalists that the key aspects are:

• territory of Ukraine,
• Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant,
• funds for reconstruction.

He also emphasized that there are a number of technical issues regarding security guarantees and monitoring format.

“The most difficult issues were and remain – this is the territory of Ukraine. Next – this is the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The third issue – funds for reconstruction. And there are several more technical questions regarding security guarantees, monitoring format, etc. This is if we talk about the twenty-point plan. And here the question is not in the points of intersection, but in what exactly at this moment, at this hour, we have conveyed our vision to the United States of America,”

Expectations for results

Zelensky also noted that the Ukrainian side is currently waiting for the results of communication between Washington and Moscow.

“As for other documents regarding reconstruction, security guarantees, our vision. We have conveyed, and the United States of America said what they are ready for. There will now be communication between our group and the American side in Florida,”

Diplomatic efforts

It should be noted that diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine have moved to the stage of discussing specific documents. However, analysts and Ukrainian officials highlight five critical obstacles that may hinder reaching an agreement.

Earlier reports indicated that U.S. intelligence reports suggest Putin's intention to continue actions not only in the Donbas but also in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. His goal is to control the entire Ukraine, as well as a broader plan to regain control of territories of the former USSR.

Recent events indicate ongoing active diplomatic efforts between Ukraine and the United States, which in turn underscores the importance of international support for Ukraine during the crisis. Expectations for responses from the Russian side may be crucial for further negotiations and possible stabilization of the situation in the region.
