Ukraine's President Meets New UN High Commissioner
According to UATV: On February 19, 2023, a significant conversation took place in Ukraine between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the new United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Barkham Salih. This was the first meeting since Salih took office on January 1, 2023.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the ongoing importance of international support for his country. He stated:
'They do not want to stop. We are trying to do everything we can at all levels of negotiation, relying on the support of our American partners. But we feel that more pressure is needed. And also more support for the morale of our people.' Volodymyr Zelenskyy
