The head of state emphasized that Ukraine and its partners are doing everything possible to stop the war without territorial concessions to the Russian Federation.

'We both see the necessity of a truly sustainable peace for Ukraine and the danger of the Russian plan to reduce everything to discussions of the impossible. Clearly defined steps are needed, and maximum coordination with our partners is essential. We appreciate the commitment of Britain, the United States, and all partners to end the war. We are actively working towards constructive diplomacy so that solutions can work. We have agreed on the next contacts.'
, — stated Zelensky.

It is worth noting that after the conversation between Putin and the US President's special representative Stephen Whitcoff, the media reported that Russia demands Ukraine to concede the occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea in exchange for a ceasefire.

However, shortly after, the Kremlin stated that Whitcoff misinterpreted the words of the Russian dictator and the Russian Federation claims four Ukrainian regions — Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.

Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky responded whether he is ready to concede land for the sake of peace.
