According to Novyny.live: On May 29, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed into law the ratification of a landmark agreement with the European Union, unlocking up to €90 billion in financial assistance for Ukraine. The funds are earmarked to stabilize the national budget and bolster the country's defense capabilities. The legislation, previously approved by the Verkhovna Rada with 298 votes, marks a significant milestone in Ukraine's partnership with the EU.

Under the ratified agreement, designated as Law No. 0376, the support will come in the form of loans and macro-financial assistance. A major tranche of up to €45 billion is scheduled for 2026, with €28.3 billion allocated for defense and €16.7 billion for budgetary needs. Key Funding Priorities

The financial package will be channeled through two main mechanisms:

• Up to €8.35 billion via macro-financial assistance;
• Another €8.35 billion under the Ukraine Facility program.
