Zelensky confirmed the upcoming prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia will take place tomorrow. He noted that this is a well-thought-out exchange, information about which he received from the Security Service and the Chief Intelligence Directorate.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin informed US President Donald Trump that the exchange would take place tomorrow, March 19, in a format of 175 to 175 people.
Additionally, Russia will transfer 23 wounded Ukrainian soldiers to Ukraine as a gesture of goodwill.
On the third anniversary of the Russian invasion, President Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready for a prisoner exchange with Russia in the format of 'all for all'.
We remind you that on February 5, Ukraine managed to return 150 soldiers from Russian captivity, including sailors who were captured in Mariupol and Zaporizhzhia region, as well as soldiers from the Air Assault and Ground Forces, National Guard, Border Guards, Territorial Defense, and police.
US President Donald Trump also conducted negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during which they planned to discuss territorial issues and the division of assets between the RF and Ukraine.
The Russian leader supported the idea of mutual refusal by Russia and Ukraine to strike at energy infrastructure for 30 days. The American president is also actively making efforts to conclude a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
