Zelensky Warns of Overnight Mass Strike: What We Know About Russia’s Latest Attacks.
Russia Launches Massive Wave of Strikes Across Ukraine
According to Espreso.tv: On June 2, Russia carried out a devastating series of attacks, firing over 70 missiles and more than 650 drones. The assault claimed 22 lives, including two children, and left 130 people wounded. In response, President Volodymyr Zelensky has cautioned that another large-scale strike could occur during the night, urging the public to stay alert.
Cities Targeted in the Assault
The attacks struck multiple Ukrainian cities and regions, such as:
- Dnipro
- Kharkiv
- Zaporizhzhia
- Poltava Region
- Khmelnytskyi Region
- Chernihiv Region
- Sumy Region
- Kherson Region
In the capital, Kyiv, residential buildings and a clinic were hit.
“Our intelligence indicates that a massive strike may also occur tonight. Please, I strongly urge you to pay attention to the air raid sirens.” — Volodymyr Zelensky
Zelensky also highlighted that 'the current level of supplies for Ukraine’s air defense does not allow us to intercept a significant portion of the missiles.' These remarks underscore the severity of the situation and the need for vigilance against new threats.
This escalation comes as Ukraine continues to face relentless missile attacks that endanger civilians daily. The president’s warning reflects the urgent need for enhanced air defense capabilities, which remain insufficient against Russia’s ongoing bombardment. The situation also reinforces the call for stronger international support to help protect Ukrainian cities and save lives.
