Zelenskyy Alerts to Imminent Russian Mass Strikes: Targets and Weaponry Analyzed.
Ukraine's Energy Grid Faces Renewed Assault Threat
According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a warning that Russia is preparing for a new wave of mass strikes targeting the nation's energy infrastructure. Military expert Anatolii Khrapchynskyi, speaking on 'Channel 24', analyzed the enemy's tactics and the potential use of new weapons. According to his assessment, the enemy is launching precision strikes against components of Ukraine's power grid, with the capital city of Kyiv being the primary target.
Deployment of New Weapon Systems
Khrapchynskyi noted the confirmed use of new 'Shahed' jet-powered drones and Karrar drones, which are labeled as 'Geran-5'. He also pointed to the launch of an 'Oreshnik' missile, a procedure reminiscent of firing an intercontinental ballistic missile.
Intelligence reports indicate that the enemy has conducted reconnaissance on at least ten facilities across nine regions, signaling potential targets for future attacks.
Monitoring channels are circulating information about a potential strike using an 'Oreshnik' missile. Khrapchynskyi stated that if this threat is genuine, an official alert will be posted on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. These developments underscore the gravity of the situation and highlight the urgent need for preparedness against potential strikes by Russian forces. These systematic attacks on energy infrastructure are a hallmark of Russia's winter campaign strategy, aiming to cripple civilian life and industrial output.
'This information points to an escalation of the threat from Russia, which continues to carry out attacks on Ukraine's critically important infrastructure.' Anatolii Khrapchynskyi
Within the context of the ongoing war, energy security is a pivotal concern, as damage to the power grid can lead to severe consequences for the civilian population and the country's economy. Given this, Ukrainian authorities and international partners must take all possible measures to defend against potential attacks.
