President Zelensky deprived Trukhanov, Tsarov, and Polunin of their citizenship, as they hold Russian passports. In addition, a new deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council has been appointed.
A city military administration will be established in Odesa
The president announced the establishment of a city military administration in Odesa to improve the protection and support of the city. This decision was made in response to serious security threats arising for Odesa. A new leader will be appointed in the near future.
The initiative to form a military administration was supported following a petition that was initiated as one of the measures to protect Odesa.
Zelensky deprived Trukhanov, Tsarov, and Polunin of citizenship
The president signed a decree to deprive Trukhanov, Tsarov, and Polunin of Ukrainian citizenship because of their possession of a Russian passport. Trukhanov has already stated his intention to challenge this decision in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, a criminal case has been opened against the former mayor of Irpin, Markushin. He has been given a preventive measure in the form of bail due to the illegal transfer of property into private hands.
Zelensky appointed a new deputy secretary of the NSDC
Yevhen Ostryansky has been appointed as the deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, who has significant experience in military affairs and strategic planning. This appointment is aimed at strengthening leadership in the field of security and defense.
Therefore, the establishment of a city military administration is planned in Odesa to enhance the city's protection. In addition, issues of citizenship for certain officials are being changed, and important appointments in the NSDC are taking place. All this contributes to strengthening the defense capability and security of Ukraine in the face of modern challenges.
