President Zelensky's Visit to Zaporizhzhia

On September 3, 2024, the 922nd day of the war, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, together with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, visited Zaporizhzhia. One of the main events of the visit was the presentation of the new educational application "Mriya", which is an analogue of the already well-known "Diia" program for Ukrainian education.

President Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the "Mriya" team and all Ukrainian teachers for their tireless work under wartime conditions. He also reminded about government decisions on shelter construction and school bus supplies.

The President announced the creation of a free meal program for students in grades 1-4 and the implementation of the "Safe School" program.

Currently, it is planned that over two million children will study offline, and about a million in a mixed format, but this will depend on the security situation and the availability of shelters.

During negotiations with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, issues were discussed on strengthening air defense, supplying military equipment, particularly F-16s, and other weapons for Ukraine. The Netherlands also provided a new aid package.

Additionally, discussions were held on the potential patronage of the Netherlands over Zaporizhzhia in terms of infrastructure and humanitarian aid.

President Zelensky expressed great gratitude to all who protect and support Ukraine during this difficult Time.

In addition, during the visit, Zelensky spoke about the progress of the Kursk operation and the situation in Donbas.
