Zelenskyy Salutes Ukraine's Alpha Unit on Its 32nd Anniversary: Special Forces Have Destroyed Thousands of Russian Military Assets.
Ukrainian President's Message of Recognition
According to UATV: On June 23, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the fighters of the Security Service of Ukraine's Alpha Special Operations Center as the unit marked 32 years since its founding. Since the start of the full-scale war, Alpha personnel have eliminated thousands of enemy pieces of equipment and inflicted massive losses on occupying forces. President Zelenskyy pointed out that Alpha warriors account for up to 20 percent of all enemy infantry casualties.
“This is a high efficiency rate that speaks for itself,” the President emphasized, highlighting the unit's critical role in countering the aggressor.
He also noted that 'the enemy feels the consequences of its own aggression far from the front line, deep inside Russian territory.' This underscores the significance of Alpha operators' actions in the current military conflict.
Alpha Fighters' Contribution
Thus, the 32nd anniversary of the Alpha Special Operations Center provided an occasion to acknowledge their contribution to defending the nation and fighting the enemy.
Celebrating the anniversary of the Alpha Special Operations Center underscores the importance of specialized units in modern warfare, where efficiency and strategic actions are decisive. Given the numerous successes of Alpha fighters, their operations demonstrate the ability of Ukrainian forces not only to defend but also to actively strike the enemy in its rear, which could influence the overall course of the war.
