Zelensky on Flag Day: This flag is a feeling of salvation for our people.

According to FREEДOM: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky today, August 23, took part in the celebrations marking State Flag Day. Alongside him were the military-political leadership of Ukraine, reports FREEdom.

'This flag is a feeling of salvation for the people we are bringing back from Russian captivity. When they see the Ukrainian colors, they understand - the evil is past. And this flag is a goal and a dream for many of our people in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. They cherish this flag. They cherish it because they know: we will not give our land to the occupier,' Zelensky noted.

He also emphasized that the Ukrainian flag is a source of strength and freedom for Ukrainian servicemen.

'This flag symbolizes the most valuable thing for hundreds of thousands of our warriors, men and women from all over our Ukraine,' the head of the Ukrainian state remarked.

Participants in the ceremony honored the memory of all the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine with a moment of silence.
