Zelenskyy's Proposal for Foreign Forces
According to TSN.ua: In an interview with Agence France-Presse, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined his intention to position foreign military units closer to the front lines should active combat cease. He stressed the critical need for international security guarantees for Ukraine's defense.
Zelenskyy noted that the deployment of a multinational force was made possible by a declaration he signed with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"We would like to see a contingent positioned closer to the front line," stated the Ukrainian President.He further clarified that
"this is not about replacing Ukrainian troops, but about the presence of our partners as a deterrent and an additional security guarantee in the event of a potential ceasefire."
