Zelensky revealed the plan for peace negotiations in January: reaction to Russian threats

According to ТСН: President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to Russia's attempts to disrupt peace negotiations and spoke about the further actions of Ukrainian diplomacy.

Diplomatic Activity of Ukraine

He noted that, despite numerous information provocations from Russia, work continues: “Despite all the media accusations from the Russians regarding the disruption of our negotiations with the Americans, we work every day. Today, our Umerov group has already made several calls together with the Americans, Steve Witkoff. We will discuss our next steps.”

Zelensky also reported that he is actively negotiating with several world leaders to prepare new plans. For example, on January 3, a meeting of NSA advisors is scheduled in Ukraine to discuss documents and decisions.

Plans for the Near Future

“Next, President Macron, along with European leaders, is organizing a meeting on January 6 in France. Our advisors will work on everything, and we will fix agreements with the leaders. On January 7, additional meetings of advisors will take place, after which we will discuss the next steps regarding the meeting of leaders of Europe and the USA,” he clarified.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is systematically preparing for negotiations and is doing everything possible to advance the peace process, despite the pressure from Russia.

Reaction to Kremlin Statements

The president also commented on the information about the alleged attack of Ukrainian drones on Putin's residence:

“Strikes on Putin's Valdai residence are fake; no one has attacked there. Is this related to sanctions? Maybe a little, but in my opinion, this is more a reaction to rather successful talks and positive meetings of our teams (Ukraine and the USA) over the month, the finale of which was our meeting with President Trump”
.

It was also noted that the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, spoke about the recent “attacks” on Putin's residence, and the Kremlin threatened a response to such statements. At the same time, Trump pointed out that the dialogue with his Ukrainian colleague indicates significant progress in ending the war, estimating the finalization of agreements at 95%.

Thus, ongoing meetings and negotiations at the international level indicate a constant movement towards the peace process, despite the problems arising from Russia. Ukrainian diplomacy continues to work on strengthening the international coalition and finding ways to resolve the conflict.
