The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed his position regarding the suspension of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) operations in Ukraine. He emphasized that the most important thing for Ukraine is military assistance from American partners, which will remain unchanged. Zelensky also noted that Ukraine is prepared for various scenarios and will resolve the situation independently if the humanitarian mission of the Agency is not extended.
For us, the most important thing is military assistance, and it has remained, for which I am grateful
Let us remind you that at the end of January, USAID stopped funding all programs and projects in Ukraine for 90 days to conduct an audit of external aid. The situation is becoming even more complicated after the head of the United States Government Efficiency Department, Elon Musk, critically assessed the Agency's work and announced the process of its liquidation. It is currently unknown when funding for USAID projects will be restored.
