Zelensky on the front line situation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the situation at the front after the report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. The hottest battles are currently taking place in the Pokrovsk direction — near Pokrovsk and Dobropillia. Despite the enemy's activity, Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions.

He reported this in Telegram on Thursday, July 31.

Zelensky commented on the situation in Donetsk region

Zelensky paid special attention to the attempts of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to break into the city and establish themselves there. The president emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully eliminate such groups, countering the enemy's tactics.

He also expressed concern about the misinformation spread by Russia regarding Chasiv Yar.

According to the president, Ukrainian soldiers continue to defend and repel all enemy attacks not only in Donetsk region but also in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

'This is the defense of the very right of Ukrainians to live,' emphasized Zelensky, pointing out the importance of each mentioned direction.

It is noteworthy that earlier the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the occupiers imitated offensive operations in Chasiv Yar for three days, hoping for temporary relaxation. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the defense of Chasiv Yar despite the pressure of Russian troops. Even under difficult conditions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine constantly manage to capture occupiers — this time among the detained were paratroopers from the 98th Separate Airborne Division of the Russian Federation, which is considered elite.

Zelensky stressed the seriousness of the situation at the front, emphasizing the importance of defending each direction and the work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces against enemy threats.
