He argued that current security mechanisms are ineffective in the face of aggression, stating that NATO has not demonstrated sufficient efficacy in this context. “If Putin decides to seize Lithuania or strike Poland, who will be responsible?”

“no one has actually seen the Alliance in action.”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed Ukraine's readiness to become part of such a new military alliance, stating: “We are ready to help others become stronger than they are now. We are ready to be part of Europe. Today we need this strength to protect our own independence.
