As a result of a large-scale night shelling by Russia on July 16, four regions were affected — Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa. One of the targets was the energy infrastructure, particularly in Kryvyi Rih.
This was reported by the President of Ukraine on Facebook.
Zelensky's reaction to the shelling
According to Zelensky, 15 people were injured during the Russian attack, including one child. All the injured were provided with necessary medical assistance.
'One of the targets was, in particular, the energy infrastructure. Efforts are being made to restore everything in Kryvyi Rih, and electricity supply will be returned during the day,' — it is stated in the message.
The head of state thanked the rescuers, energy workers, and military personnel who are liquidating the consequences of the attack. He separately noted the units of the Air Force, Navy, Electronic Warfare, mobile fire groups, and anti-aircraft missile troops, which shot down about 200 enemy drones. More than 140 did not reach their targets.
'Russia does not change its strategy, and for effective resistance to this terror, we need systemic strengthening of defense: more air defense, more interceptors, more determination so that Russia feels our response,' — summed up the President.
