Zelensky reacted to the adoption of the law on NABU and SAP.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky shared his comments on the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to restore the independence of NABU and SAP on Thursday, July 31.
In his address on Telegram, the head of state thanked the parliamentarians for passing the law and emphasized the importance of the normal functioning of anti-corruption bodies and law enforcement agencies. He considers the decision to be correct and stressed the need to carefully listen to public opinion.
'I want to thank all the parliamentarians for adopting my draft law - now a law. I just signed the document, and the text will be published immediately. This guarantees the normal, independent work of anti-corruption bodies and all law enforcement agencies of our state,' said the president.
It is also known that a law on the financing of the Defense Forces was adopted, which guarantees proper budget financing for the military sector and additional benefits for military personnel. This news was met with angry applause from protesters in Kyiv, who demand greater disclosure of the details of these decisions by the authorities.
