Zelensky Warns Trump: Putin Lies and Has No Interest in Negotiations.
Zelensky’s Urgent Appeal
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging the United States not to trust Vladimir Putin, stressing that diplomacy remains essential to ending the war. In a recent interview with The Guardian, Zelensky stated that Russia’s leadership shows no genuine desire for talks and only uses meetings to serve its own interests. He emphasized that while the Kremlin tries to mislead American politicians, ordinary U.S. citizens continue to stand by Ukraine.
Russia’s Internal Struggles and Cautious Optimism at the Front
Zelensky also highlighted economic and social troubles inside Russia that could affect how long the war lasts. He believes every opportunity—no matter how small—must be seized to pursue a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.
“I have always told President Trump that Putin lies.” – Volodymyr Zelensky
According to the president, the situation on the battlefield is now more favorable for Ukraine’s armed forces compared to last year. Zelensky also held phone conversations with Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to discuss next steps in U.S.-Ukraine cooperation. In this context, he continues to stress the critical role of international support in countering Russian aggression.
These remarks by Zelensky underscore the importance of sustained global backing for Ukraine as the conflict with Russia drags on. Given that diplomatic efforts may prove decisive in achieving peace, Ukraine’s stance remains firm in its distrust of the Russian side. At the same time, shifting dynamics on the front line could reshape both countries’ strategies in the near future and potentially open new avenues for peace talks.
