Zelensky criticizes Britain and other allies in NATO arms talks
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky joined the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group for the first time at a meeting held at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He voiced his criticism towards Britain and other allies, accusing them of delaying missile deliveries and the need for support. Zelensky emphasized the need to be able to use weapons not only in the occupied territories of Ukraine but also inside Russia.
The President also stated that Ukrainian forces have made gains in the Kursk region, capturing kilometers of Russian territory and inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. However, he expressed outrage that Russian forces had strengthened their position in the Donetsk region.
Ukraine received new promises of ammunition deliveries from its allies. Britain promised to send air defense missiles, the USA - assistance including funds for air defense, and Germany - batteries and tanks. The British program of training Ukrainian soldiers will also be extended.
The NATO Secretary General emphasized that Ukraine can win if it receives the necessary weapons. The meeting took place against the backdrop of ongoing shelling of Ukraine, which claims lives every day. Zelensky plans to present his "victory plan" in the USA soon.
