Zelensky met with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands - what was discussed.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte during his visit to Italy. They discussed issues of joint defense production and diplomatic cooperation. The meeting was documented in a video published by the president himself on his Facebook.
Details of Zelensky's meeting with Rutte
Zelensky emphasized that they talked with Rutte about defense production, the creation of air defense, and diplomatic activities.
“Thank you, Mark, for your willingness and assistance in protecting lives. We are directing investments toward air defense systems and drones for interception,” said the president.
Zelensky also expressed gratitude for the court ruling in the Netherlands regarding the downing of the MH-17 plane by Russian armed forces.
“It is important to achieve justice. We fully support this legal work of the Netherlands,” emphasized the Ukrainian leader.
He also mentioned thanks for holding the NATO summit in The Hague and the new military package, as well as signing agreements with Ukrainian entrepreneurs as part of the 'Drone Line' project.
According to Rutte, he condemned Russian attacks on civilians and confirmed his support for Ukraine.
Earlier, Zelensky held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni and participated in a conference on the recovery of Ukraine in Italy.
During his visit to Italy, the President of Ukraine discussed important cooperation issues with his Dutch counterparts, noting support for Ukraine in matters of law, defense, and diplomacy.
