The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, received a report from Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko on Thursday, July 31, regarding today’s shelling of Kyiv by Russian troops.

In his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian leader reported that rescue services are doing everything possible to save those trapped under the rubble. Several people have already been rescued, but unfortunately, there are seven dead, including a child. Dozens of residents of the city have been injured as a result of the enemy shelling.

'As of now, necessary assistance has been provided to 80 people, 64 people have been injured as a result of the strike, and 50 people are hospitalized. Among the injured are nine children.'

Moreover, many houses and civilian objects have been damaged, including one of Kyiv's mosques. The President emphasized that the attack was specifically aimed at overloading the rescue system. Kyiv has become a primary target for Russian 'shaheds', drones, and missiles.

Authorities have recorded missile strikes in other cities as well, and rescue work continues at the sites.
