Burned in her own apartment. Mother of a soldier died in a result of an airstrike on Kharkiv.
As a result of a Russian strike on a residential building in Kharkiv on August 30, six people were killed. Among them, the dead body of a 71-year-old mother of a Ukrainian defender was found. This was reported by the head of the Investigation Department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Serhiy Bolvinov.
DNA work on the charred body has been completed. The woman was found the day before on the tenth floor after the Russian attack on the residential building.
It was stated that she was a resident of a 12-story building, who was being searched for by her son-soldier. The son arrived at the scene as soon as he received the message about the tragedy, but he could not identify his mother, said the law enforcement officer.
Experts compared the DNA profiles of the deceased with the man who was looking for his mother, and they match.
The woman was 71 years old, she literally burned in her own apartment due to the enemy airstrike, said Bolvinov.
Let us recall that today in Kharkiv a mourning was declared for the victims of the enemy strike that hit the city on August 30. Due to the Russian attack, six people died. Among them, a 14-year-old girl who was killed near a playground. In addition, 97 people were injured, 22 of them were children. Five children are in satisfactory condition, and a 17-year-old girl is in serious condition.
As it is known, on August 30 Russian occupiers shelled Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. One of the strikes hit the central part of Kharkiv, a 12-story residential building.
By the way, on August 30, an 18-year-old artist Nika Kozhushko died during the shelling in Kharkiv.
