Zhovkva announced the 19th EU sanctions package against the Russian Federation — what is known.
Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva stated that Ukraine is already working on the 19th package of European Union sanctions against Russia. According to him, there is a possibility that the next restrictions may also be blocked by 'certain countries'.
This was reported by Ihor Zhovkva in a comment to Novyny.LIVE correspondent Halyna Ostapovets.
'This process will continue. Despite the fact that we cannot rule out that the next packages may also be blocked by certain countries', Zhovkva emphasized.
Let us remind you that the European Union approved the 18th sanctions package against Russia on Friday, July 18. Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak listed the restrictions imposed against Russia, including sanctions on Russian oil.
It is also worth noting that Slovakia blocked the 18th sanctions package for a long time. The head of the Slovak government, Robert Fico, set his conditions.
Before this, the United Kingdom imposed sanctions against Russian hackers and spies, including those involved in the shelling of the Mariupol Drama Theatre on March 16, 2022, which led to the death of about 300 Ukrainians.
Ukraine is preparing the 19th sanctions package against Russia, working together with the European Union. There is a possibility that certain countries will be able to block the next restrictions, but the process continues. At the same time, the EU has already approved the 18th sanctions package, and the United Kingdom has imposed restrictions on Russian hackers and spies due to the tragic event in Mariupol. The situation regarding oil sanctions is being discussed, while some countries are setting their own conditions in the context of restrictions against Russia.
