Ukrainian Forces Eliminate 1,060 Russian Troops in One Day; Moscow’s Total Losses Approach 1.3 Million.
Russian Military Casualties
According to UATV: Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s defense forces have killed 1,060 enemy soldiers and destroyed 219 vehicles. Since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through April 1, 2026, Russia’s total military losses have reached 1,298,730 personnel. This data comes amid a prolonged war that has now stretched on for several years, highlighting the ongoing intensity of the conflict.
In addition to these personnel and vehicle losses, Ukrainian forces also eliminated:
- over 60 artillery systems,
- 2 tanks,
- more than 2,000 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
The overall toll on the Russian army includes:
- 11,828 tanks,
- 24,327 armored combat vehicles,
- 39,169 artillery systems,
- 1,712 multiple launch rocket systems,
- 1,338 air defense systems.
Aviation and Equipment Losses
Significant losses have also been recorded in the air: 435 aircraft, 350 helicopters, and 210,896 tactical-level drones. Meanwhile, Russian forces have lost:
- 4,491 cruise missiles,
- 33 ships and boats,
- 2 submarines,
- 86,578 units of automotive equipment and fuel tankers.
Specialized equipment losses amount to 4,107 units.
“The Russian army has lost 89,000 personnel from January 1 to March 26,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In 2026, Russia’s mobilization plans call for the conscription of 409,000 individuals, of whom 20-22% have already been drafted. These figures point to sustained combat activity and heavy human and material losses for the aggressor.
The situation on the front lines remains difficult, with ongoing hostilities causing significant casualties on both sides. Given Russia’s mobilization efforts, further escalation of the conflict is expected, which could affect regional stability and international security. Tracking these losses helps illustrate the war’s scale and underscores the importance of continued global support for Ukraine.
