Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated the Dnipro group: what does it mean for the front.
The operational-strategic grouping of troops 'Dnipro' has completed its activities within the framework of the corps reform, reported the spokesman of the General Staff, Major Andriy Kovalov. This structure was not permanent and performed temporary tasks. Now, with the corps accepting their areas of responsibility and to improve the management of troops in Ukraine, there is no need for such operational-strategic groupings, so 'Dnipro' has ceased to exist.
Impact of the elimination of the grouping on the situation at the front
According to inkorr.com: The elimination of the grouping will not affect the manageability of the troops and the operational situation on the front line. On the contrary, these changes are expected to improve management.
Further command of the troops
Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, who headed this grouping, will continue to command the respective troops in the combat zone, cooperating with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The operational-strategic grouping 'Dnipro' has completed its work due to the implementation of the corps reform. However, this change will not affect the command of the troops and the overall situation at the front. The temporary tasks performed by the 'Dnipro' structure will now be taken over by other military units, which aims to improve management processes in Ukraine. Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, the former head of the grouping, will remain in his position, commanding troops in the combat zone under the supervision of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
