The Armed Forces of Ukraine succeeded in the Kursk region, advancing within the Ukrainian bridgehead. Meanwhile, Russian troops advanced in the Donetsk region, particularly in the Selydove area and northwest of Vuhledar, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report in their briefing.

Fighting on Russian territory

Recently, Ukrainian forces have advanced in the Kursk region, within the main Ukrainian bridgehead.

Specifically, geolocation images from October 26 indicate UAF movements southwest of Olhovka and east of Kolmakova.

According to Russian ISW sources, Ukrainian forces conducted attacks in the areas of Zeleny Shlyakh, Novoivanivka, Daryino, Nizhny Klin, Pogrebky, Mykolaivo-Daryino, and the village of Plekhove.

Russian troops also made a small advance in the Kursk region, moving southeast of Martynivka. This is captured in images from October 26.

As of the evening of October 26, Ukrainian forces conducted attacks near Novy Put in the Hlukhiv district and west of the Ukrainian bridgehead.

Kharkiv region

On October 27, Russian troops continued an offensive in the north of the Kharkiv region, albeit unsuccessfully. They attacked near Vovchansk and Starytsia.

A spokesman for the Kharkiv UAF group noted that most artillery shells used by Russian troops in the Kharkiv direction are supplied from North Korea.

He also mentioned that these shells are of low quality and do not hit targets effectively.

Additionally, Romanov pointed out that Russian occupiers may supply their units in the Kharkiv region with munitions received from Iran.

Luhansk region

On October 27, Russian troops attempted to advance along the Kupyansk - Svatove - Kreminna line, but without success.

Geolocation video from October 26 shows Ukrainian forces repelling an attack by a Russian mechanized group northeast of Torske.

Although some Russian sources claim they are operating near Senkove, ISW does not have credible information that Russian troops crossed the Oskil River.

There are also claims of Russian troop advancements in Pershotravneve and around Terny, yet these data have not been confirmed by ISW experts.

A commander of a Ukrainian battalion operating in the Kupyansk direction reported attempts by a Russian battalion to conduct a mechanized attack that was repelled.

Russian and Ukrainian sources report battles near Katerynivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, Yelyzavetivka, as well as in the areas of Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, and Zolota Nyva.

Donetsk region

On October 27, Russian troops continued their offensive in the Toretsk direction, yet made no gains.

Russian and Ukrainian sources reported fighting in Toretsk, around New York, and Shcherbynivka.

Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that Russian troops control two-thirds of Toretsk although this is not confirmed by ISW experts. They assert that Russian invaders have only occupied about 23% of the city.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops continued their offensive in the Selydove area.

Geolocation images from October 27 indicate that Russian occupiers advanced south of Vyshneve. There are no reliable data on the capture of Vyshneve.

The UAF General Staff reported Russian troop attacks near Promin, Myroliubivka, Vozdvizhenka, Krasny Yar, Kruty Yar, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, and Selydove.

Russian troops also attempted to continue their offensive into the southern part of Novoukrainka, but these data have yet to be confirmed by ISW experts. Ukrainian UAF repelled an attack by a Russian battalion near Zolota Nyva, destroying 20 enemy vehicles.

Southern axis

On October 27, Russian invaders attacked in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region but made no advancement.

The Ukrainian military did not record attempts by the Russian side to form offensive groupings in southern Ukraine.

Contrary to Russian statements, ISW forces claim that Russian invaders did not capture Levadne.

The situation in the fighting area in Pokrovsk was shown in a video involving the 128th brigade of the UAF.

The enemy launched many strikes on Ukraine's territory, including missile and aerial attacks and used kamikaze drones. UAF forces repelled numerous shellings of positions and settlements.

Deep State analysts reported that Russian troops captured Selydove and Bohoyavlenka, yet this information is not confirmed by independent sources.
