General Staff: Two large Russian factories and a fuel depot in Berdyansk were hit.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of two large enterprises on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as a fuel and lubricants warehouse in temporarily occupied Berdyansk. All attacks took place in the night of October 19.
According to inkorr.com: The General Staff emphasized that these operations are part of a range of measures aimed at undermining Russia's military-industrial base and depriving it of the ability to continue its 'criminal aggression'.
Attacks on Novokuybishevsky Oil Refinery and Orenburg Gas Processing Plant
Explosions and a fire occurred at the Novokuybishevsky Oil Refinery in the Samara region. The primary oil processing units were damaged. This refinery produces over 20 types of products, and its annual primary processing volume is 4.9 million tons. It also meets the needs of the Russian military. The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.
At the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, one of the largest gas processing complexes in Russia, explosions and a large-scale fire were also reported. One of the gas processing and purification units was damaged. The plant can process up to 45 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 6.2 million tons of gas condensate/oil per year.
Reports of damage to facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation and in occupied Berdyansk indicate an intensification of military actions and strategic attacks in the conflict zone. Attacks on industrial sites that are vital to the Russian military-industrial complex could have serious consequences for the country's economy and its military capabilities.
The situation surrounding the conflict in Ukraine remains tense, and such actions demonstrate a shift in strategy in combating the enemy's military resources. The intensification of attacks on key industrial sites can significantly affect Russia's ability to conduct military operations in the future, impacting not only military but also economic aspects of the situation.Read also
