Recall that on July 23, Ukrainian military shot down a Russian combat aircraft Su-25 in the Pokrovsky direction. The aircraft, along with another Su-25, attempted to shell positions of the Defense Forces units.

The anti-aircraft warriors of a separate mechanized brigade named after General Horunzhy Marko Bezruchko destroyed two Su-25 attack aircraft in July. This happened on July 19.
