Ukrainian Military Operations in Southern Ukraine

According to UATV: Ukrainian forces are continuing successful offensive operations in southern Ukraine, including on the Orikhiv axis, as of February 23. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports a decrease in the number of combat engagements and significant enemy losses. Only 40 clashes have been recorded since the start of the day, indicating the effectiveness of Ukrainian actions. This southern front is a critical area in Ukraine's broader counter-offensive strategy.

Since the beginning of January 2023, Ukrainian troops have managed to regain control of 400 square kilometers of territory and 8 settlements on the Orikhiv axis. In the past day alone, Ukrainian forces have destroyed:

• 13 armored combat vehicles
• 40 artillery systems
• 2 multiple launch rocket systems
• 1 air defense system
• 2 tanks
• 136 units of automotive equipment
• 33 cruise missiles
• 1,765 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles

In total, 720 Russian occupiers were eliminated, bringing Russia's overall combat losses to over 1 million 260 thousand personnel.
