The EU insists: any US-Russia agreement must include Ukraine - what does it mean.
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, called for any agreement between the US and Russia to simultaneously concern Ukraine and the EU, as the security of Ukraine is directly related to the security of all of Europe. He emphasized that it is important to discuss the next steps with the foreign ministers of EU countries on Monday.
In turn, Borrell noted that the agreement between the US and Russia should be based on international law and not create a threat for further Russian aggression against Ukraine and Europe.
The diplomat also pointed out the importance of discussing the situation in Gaza at the ministerial meeting of EU countries. It is worth reminding that earlier Borrell noted the largest and most destructive missile strike of Russian troops on Kyiv on June 17.
Ukraine and the European Union are actively entering the process of discussing international relations in the context of the conflict between the US and Russia, defining their own positions and requirements to ensure peace and security in Europe.
