Experts from Condé Nast Traveler have identified the best destinations for romantic travel in 2025. At the top of the list are the Maldives - an island nation in South Asia. Experts describe the Maldives as a honeymoon dream, where one can enjoy colorful fish confetti explosions in the lagoons, breakfasts in a private pool, and beaches and coral reefs among world-class hotels.
The Greek island of Santorini, known for its white buildings perched on cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea, comes in second. Its volcanic origin has created unique beaches of black and red sand, as well as preserved ancient ruins and villages that allow a dive into Greece's history.
Paris - the capital of France, renowned for its romantic atmosphere - occupies the third place. The rest of the rankings include Marrakech (Morocco), Rome and the Amalfi Coast (Italy), Bali (Indonesia), Phuket (Thailand), Tulum (Mexico), and Mauritius.
