Odesa Water Supply Disruption Details
According to Novyny.live: Due to scheduled maintenance on power equipment, water service will be temporarily suspended on June 17 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in several districts of Odesa and surrounding areas. This planned outage affects both the city and nearby communities in the Odesa Raion.
The following locations are expected to experience interruptions:
- Kyivskyi District
- Prymorskyi District
- Khadzhybeiskyi District
- Residential areas: Slobidka, Peresyp, Raiduzhnyi, Sovinyon 1–5, Chornomorka
- Villages: Lymanka, Chervonyi Khutir
- Tairivska territorial community
- Velykodilinske urban-type settlement
- City of Chornomorsk
- Cities: Biliaivka, Teplodar
- Mayakivska community
- Ovidiopolska community
- Villages: Myrne, Roksolany, Usatove, Nerubaisske, Velyka Balka, Nati
- Usatove railway station
- Velykodalnytska community
- Avanhardivska community
- Residential complexes: 'Soma Nebo', 'Artville'
Additionally, water will not be available for visitors to the '7th Kilometer' market.
Water Tariff Information
Odesa has 17 public water fountains that provide free drinking water to residents. The current water tariff for June is approximately 35.16 UAH per cubic meter (including VAT). For business customers, the rate is about 65.55 UAH per cubic meter (including VAT). Proposed new tariffs for households include:
- Water supply — 50.96 UAH
- Wastewater disposal — 42.69 UAH
The total combined cost would be 93.66 UAH per cubic meter (including VAT).
Residents of Odesa and nearby settlements should prepare for temporary water service interruptions and are reminded of the free water fountains available throughout the city.
This situation highlights the importance of timely infrastructure repairs to ensure a stable water supply. While temporary inconveniences are unavoidable, such maintenance helps prevent more serious issues in the future.
