Destruction of the 'Garmon' Radar Station

According to UATV: Ukraine's 78th Separate Air Assault Brigade has successfully destroyed a Russian 1L122 'Garmon' radar station within the Kursk region. This marks a significant tactical achievement, as the 1L122 system is designed for surveillance, detection, and tracking of various targets, making it a strategically vital asset for enemy forces. The destruction of such systems degrades Russia's ability to monitor the battlefield.

Military representatives stated the radar was first detected on enemy territory in Kursk.

"Subsequently, our pilots, using UAVs, brought the operation to its logical conclusion—the 'Garmon' radar in Kursk has been destroyed,"
the unit noted. This successful strike demonstrates the brigade's operational effectiveness despite the adversary's increased use of drones and loitering munitions.

Frontline Situation

The brigade is currently engaged in defensive operations on a specific axis to prevent any alteration of Ukraine's state border. No significant changes have been recorded in the brigade's area of responsibility over the past week.

"The enemy did not conduct assault operations but intensified the use of UAVs and loitering munitions against the positions of Ukrainian defenders,"
the military emphasized. This shift in enemy tactics highlights the heightened tension in the region and the need for continued vigilance.

Eliminating the 'Garmon' radar could substantially reduce the enemy's capacity to detect and control the airspace, a crucial step in enhancing the security of Ukrainian troops. However, the enemy's increased activity, particularly with drones, indicates the situation remains volatile, requiring Ukrainian forces to maintain readiness for potential attacks. These developments underscore the importance of constant monitoring and tactical adaptation in response to evolving enemy behavior.
