According to Novyny.live: The French humanitarian organization Acted has launched a cash assistance program for residents of the Sosnytsia community in Sumy Oblast. Registration for the aid will remain open until March 31, 2026. The program offers 10,800 Ukrainian hryvnias per household, with each family member eligible to receive 3,600 hryvnias per month. The payment will be issued as a single lump sum covering three months.

Eligibility Criteria for Assistance

In February 2026, Acted is actively operating in Sumy Oblast. Financial support is available for internally displaced persons and refugees who meet specific criteria. Primary vulnerable categories eligible for aid include:

  • Large families,
  • Households with children under two years old,
  • Families with pregnant women,
  • Households with persons with disabilities,
  • Families with elderly persons.

Support is also available for households headed by women or single parents, as well as for families whose homes have been destroyed.

Payments for residents of the city of Trostianets are scheduled for February 18. For more information and to apply, residents can contact the following phone numbers: +38 (067) 131 10 02, +38 (063) 453 57 10, +38 (095) 285 29 84. Financial support from UNHCR Ukraine is also available for officially registered internally displaced persons and refugees who possess documentation confirming their displacement.

This Acted program aims to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable families amidst Ukraine's challenging socio-economic situation. Given the prolonged impact of the conflict on local communities, such initiatives are crucial for meeting basic population needs and supporting regional stability. Providing direct financial aid not only helps improve living conditions but also contributes to rebuilding the social fabric in war-affected areas. This support is part of broader international efforts to assist civilians impacted by the ongoing war.
