Medvedchuk's Helicopter Acquired by the Armed Forces: How Confiscated Property Works for the Army

According to inkorr.com: The luxury yacht of Viktor Medvedchuk, the godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin, still remains unsold. However, according to 'Glavkom,' his helicopter has already found a new owner — the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was revealed in an interview with Natalia Moseichuk by the former head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), Olena Duma.

Expenses and Auctions

Duma emphasized that Medvedchuk purchased this yacht in 2015, using 'blood money' after the Euromaidan Revolution. Currently, its minimum insurance value stands at 130 million hryvnias. The cost of the helicopter acquired by the Armed Forces was 9.7 million hryvnias. Watches from brands such as Rolex, Dolce & Gabbana, Breguet, and Cartier were also sold at the auction. All funds from their sale have been transferred to the needs of the state.

“Even the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) could not access it. To inspect the yacht — a court decision in Croatia is required. All these decisions need a request from the prosecutor general to Croatia,” explained the former head of ARMA.

Thus, part of Medvedchuk's 'blood money' is already working for the benefit of the state, and his elite property is gradually being transferred to new owners. This indicates the state's efforts to recover assets of criminal origin and use the funds obtained for the needs of society.
