How the Ukrainian underground operates in occupation: details from GUR.
According to an officer of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the resistance movement is an extremely risky business, but patriots continue to help Ukraine.
In the last 2.5 years, Ukrainian partisans have carried out several car bombings of Russian occupiers and collaborators. Unfortunately, some underground members were killed or seriously injured.
The underground members transmit important information about the movement of Russian troops and equipment, which allows Ukraine to be ready for defense in the necessary sectors of the front or to strike at enemy concentrations. Local residents also help the underground members by drawing symbolic graffiti on the streets of occupied cities to psychologically pressure the enemy.
This is a signal to the occupiers that this is not their land. Our people are nearby, they have not abandoned their intentions to reclaim their land
Not even all underground members are acquainted with each other, as this is necessary for their safety. Russian special services are constantly hunting for underground members.
They operate on the principle: throw a stone at everyone, and maybe you'll hit a spy
Let us remind you that the Russians on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula have started building fortifications at the entrances to the city of Yevpatoria, which was recorded by the underground movement «ATESH».
