A program has been developed in the Czech Republic that helps create a wishlist for end-of-life planning. Using the Moje.smrt portal, users can fill out a questionnaire, reports Flowee.

This app encourages people to talk about the end of life in a timely manner and to compile a list of their last wishes. It has become very popular among users, with several hundred thousand visiting the site each year. However, there are individuals who oppose this idea due to superstitions about funerals.

On the site, users can choose music for the memorial service, consider whether it will be cremation or burial. They are given the opportunity to select clothing and compile a list of items they would like to have with them in the coffin. Additionally, they can share their fears related to death and share ideas and arrangements with their relatives.

«Although the topic of the end of life is difficult and many find it hard to discuss, we understand its importance. Not many people wish to talk to relatives about it. Our app can serve as a good impetus for this,» said Lenka Smolíková from the organization Cesta domů, which created the app together with the creative agency Yinachi.

In the UK, almost no one is interested in end-of-life planning. According to a study by Dying Matters, 83% of people feel uncomfortable discussing death. More than half of the population does not know what their partner wants as a last wish, and only 36% of Britons have written a will.

Although the idea is not unanimously welcomed, its ideologists want to change the situation. They believe that envisioning the end of life is not cynicism or blasphemy, but a realistic approach and a desire for independence.
