Drivers deprived of rights will be able to regain their license: mandatory conditions.
The deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a certain period is one of the harshest administrative penalties applied for serious violations of traffic rules. After the expiration of the term set by the court, drivers face the question: how and where to get their documents back.
How licenses are confiscated: police officers who have recorded the violation compile a protocol, which is then sent to the court. The court issues a ruling clearly stating the term for which the driver is deprived of the right to drive. After that, the driver is obliged to independently surrender their driver's license to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to their place of registration.
Procedure for returning: a driver deprived of the right to drive must pass theoretical and practical exams at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If the rights were revoked for driving under the influence, a medical examination must also be undergone, and the relevant certificate obtained.
To return the driver's license, one must have a passport, identification code, medical certificate (in case of intoxication), certificate of absence of fines, application for return, and court ruling. After successfully passing the exams, the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will return the driver's license, issuing a new document if the old one is already invalid.
Ukrainian legislation establishes a clear procedure for returning a driver's license after the rights are revoked for violating traffic rules. Drivers facing this situation should familiarize themselves with all the requirements and procedures to get their documents back, complying with all the requirements and conditions stipulated by the law.
