Document verification of conscripts at the TСC: Lubinets explains changes to legislation

The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, announced changes to the legislation concerning mobilization. In particular, Lubinets published an infographic explaining the process of checking military registration documents.

According to the new legislation, verification of military registration documents may be conducted for men aged 18 to 60 by state border guard agencies, TCC and SP, or police officers.

During the verification, the person conducting it must state their last name, first name, and patronymic, position, and also show their service ID. These checks are carried out along with conscription notices.

During the issuance of the notice, the person's conscription status is checked, and their personal data and the data in their military registration document are compared with the data of the EDRPOU.

In case of violations of military registration, the citizen is invited to the TCC and SP for medical data clarification and issuance of the notice. Refusal to receive the notice leads to the drafting of a refusal act.

If the citizen refuses to follow to the TCC and SP, the police may detain them and deliver them to the nearest center.

In his statement, Lubinets also emphasized the need to monitor changes in the legislation and follow the current version of regulatory legal acts.

It should be noted that the government adopted a resolution on digitizing reservations, allowing citizens to reserve themselves from conscription.

Also, starting from September 7, a law came into force granting deferment from conscription for those conscripts whose brother or sister died or went missing during combat.
